Pixie Mafia

Lemartes' Journal
Day 1

Conscious, awake, aware. Alive. I am alive for the first time. I have no memory of before this morning, but I am now alive. I woke at the edge of this huddle of huts and elves, with only a message ringing in my ears and the urge to find a silver-haired elf. As I wandered, I found stones on top of quiet and calm dirt. Stillness clung around them, and even with the string pulling me away, I was able to stay and rest for a while. Once rested I wandered more, overhearing the elves chatter and talk until I saw silver hair. I left the note in her fingers as another pixie appeared and spoke to her. Then another elf came running. He screamed of “blood hawks” and death. Their screech was sharp as they descended on the elves. That’s when I heard it. A voice. Not from my ears or throat, but deeper. It sounded from my bones, crawling up my spine, and rang inside my skull. “KILL…” Force and death flew from my finger tips slaying hawk after hawk. Black rings formed around their necks made of the same quiet dirt I rested upon. There were others fighting as well, with loud booms, fire and large cats. When all the hawks died, I piled what others did not move. Dead, they could still move if I made them. Their bodies needed studying, but first the little girl came. She spoke of death and I heard the voice again. I offered her a deal. If she could mark the Bard with a black ring around his neck, I would kill him for her. I am patiently waiting to see her resolve. Rain started to fall and I went toward shelter in a tree. There I met Thorn and Heppin. Thorn is green around the wrists, but stands firm. Heppin is shy, choosing to speak with illusions and to play. The voice spoke again, but I couldn’t hear what it said. They have become my brothers, baptized in combat against both cockatrees and nothics. And with them around, the voice becomes too quiet to hear. As I look at them now, asleep in this tree after fierce battles, with my hands full of blood from our slain enemies, I am grateful to have met them, and to be alive, and I wish to bring this feeling to those that are still dead. I will find a way to wake them, as I awoke, and they will live once more…raven.jpg

The Story So Far

Heppin Vertigo, Lemartes Mors, and Thorn Jupiterspite became aware of themselves and made themselves a home near the graveyard of a small elven town. After saving the town from bloodhawks and helping to bring a body back from a swarm of cockatrices, they went to sleep again. Upon awakening, they left their tree to find that the young girl, Della, had run away. They found the girl approaching wild animals, and immediately entered battle to protect her. The monster which emerged attempted to run away with the child, but her mother appeared to stop him. After removing its eyes, they attempted to revive Isendra, but the troll revived and ran away, but Thorn and Lemartes chased after it and knocked it down again.

The continuing adventures of Zombear and Invisibear

The following is from the perspective of Thorn Jupiterspite

In our adventure today, Thorn and Lemartes stayed behind with Isendra while Heppin was off looking after the kid. Lemartes decided to use this time to practice his very interesting powers and managed to somehow raise the bear that we killed earlier into a zombie form, which was pretty cool to watch, but not something that I anticipate doing myself anytime.

After he raised his new Zombear and tried unsuccessfully to get Isendra to climb onto it, we were suddenly accosted by a few wolves from out of nowhere. I utilized this new opportunity to try out my new form, and changed into my Invisibear form! After quickly dispatching the wolves, we were suddenly faced with even more of them in a pack. One of them managed to take a nasty bite out of me, which just served to enrage me, and I quickly targeted that one specific wolf and took it out. Between myself and Zombear we managed to quickly dispatch more of them, and the rest of the pack fled us. At this point I took further revenge upon the wolf who had managed to injure me and firmly stepped onto it’s head crushing it into the ground.

Subsequently, Lemartes did manage to convince Isendra to climb onto Zombear through pantomime, and we made our way back to town carrying her.

Welcome to your campaign!
A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.

That’s it! The rest is up to your and your players.
